Personal consultations
You are not alone. We discreetly advice families on privacy issues, from helping them to understand what privacy actually is to, for instance, assisting teenagers with being safer online and helping them understand what consequences there are to using services that specifically set out to collect data about them. In our experience, children rather enjoy learning a number of protective techniques we have developed as they engage their natural curiosity and need to experiment without risk.
We also perform full lifestyle reviews – a full audit of privacy measures surrounding family life based on business principles, with an explicit aim to maximise protection and maintain quality of life. Generally, these risk assessments seek to improve what already exists, but we can also restructure frameworks or build such from scratch. Some organisations now consider this essential for key person and shareholder value protection.
Structural advice
Structure is not only important for efficiency and cost effective operation, it also ensures that no gaps exist in coverage. Classic examples of structural issues are a lack of personal privacy protection for principals, board members and their family, who thus become backdoors to their own organisations, or not managing privacy and security as a whole. In our experience, integration is vital to ensure maximum protection.
Improvement audits
A fresh perspective can bring new insights as well as new knowledge. With a wide array of skillsets, an excellent network and an ability to comprehensively reduce complexity, we relish the challenge to improve. We also do annual refresh updates to bring structures, management and operations up to the latest developments, insights, technologies and legal frameworks.
Strategy development
As families and organisations evolve, forward planning ensures future focused decisions can be taken with a definite aim. We work with principals to develop protective strategies that can migrate with age, ranging from family operations planning to succession management. Long term privacy planning can ensure cover evolves with expected needs, yet remains flexible enough to accomodate unexpected challenges.
Tactical and emergency work
Especially in emergencies, rapidly injecting sufficient skills to keep al factors under control is critical. Our preference is to assist where adequate emergency and continuity planning has been done as it significantly reduces risk exposure, but we can take on a wide variety of challenges.
Continuity planning
Business Continuity Planning/Management (BCP/BCM) is a regular and in some countries mandatory part of corporate risk management. We work with well respected organisations to add privacy management to the emergency scenarios and exercise them, where we specialise in the protection of owners and members of the Board.
Of course, all work is done in strictest confidentiality.
